The Central Otago region of New Zealand may be tucked away in the corner of the world but it’s easy to get to!

Host towns Queenstown and Wanaka are easily accessible international lakeside resorts just an hour apart. Spectacular scenery, fantastic dining and shopping, iconic adventure activities and off-mountain attractions make them the perfect venues for every taste and budget.

Queenstown International Airport is located in Queenstown, New Zealand, and is the closest commercial airport to Queenstown and Wanaka.

Google maps is the best option for navigating around our venues. You should carry snow chains on all routes (compulsory for mountain passes). Remember that roads in New Zealand can be narrower and windier than you may be used to, always allow yourself a little extra time to get to your destination safely. If you are travelling from Queenstown to Wanaka or Cardrona always check the conditions on the Crown Range. If there is a lot of snow, or you are a nervous driver, you may prefer to take the longer route via Cromwell. This takes approx 1.5 hrs.

Road Conditions can be checked by calling the Automobile Association on 0800 500 444 or visiting their website. For Queenstown and Wanaka road conditions (including the Crown Range) check the QLDC Facebook Page for the daily road report.
